In India the eyes show a promise. Looking into another’s eyes opens a connection through which energy can flow. I tried this many times and without fail when my eyes connected with another person’s eyes it was like an electrifying shock and a connection came alive between the heart and soul of two strangers. The energy sparked and anything became possible.

For the child selling flowers on the side of the Ganges river in Rishikesh it’s a moment for a sale to a light skinned foreigner. For the old pilgrim it is a flicker of hope as he shares his wisdom in exchange for a donation. For the guide, it’s a chance to share his culture, his history and his legacy. For a priest it is joy and peace.
